Impact of family structure and sociodemographic characteristics on parents headed families in Ramadi City, Iraq

Background: Several factors in the family profile contribute significantly to determining effective policy when heading family. This study aims evaluate sociodemographic and economic burdens on parents-headed families Ramadi City, west of Iraq. Methods: A prospective cross-sectional household-based survey was conducted from 1st 28th February 2019 among Iraqi people residents city, Anbar province. multistage sampling technique recruited identify eligible sample. semi-structured questionnaire used interview (face-to-face) respondents. Data 267 households have undergone univariate bivariate analyses. Multiple logistic regression, odds ratio (OR), confidence intervals (CIs) were estimated explore predicting variables. The statistically significant is considered at less than 0.05. Results: mean age respondents 43.88 (± 12.1) years (range: 25 69 years). Out total surveyed people, 52.8% young (less 44 years), male-headed (59.6%), low educated level (65.5%), unemployed (52.4%), married (67.4%) headed big seven members above (43.1%). History chronic diseases smoking habits positive 46.4% 45.7% respondents, respectively.
